Our Process

Great Extracts Aren't Made by Accident.

They are built through thousands of small decisions.

From the way we grow our mushrooms to the way we extract, test, and bottle every batch, every step in our process exists for one reason:

To preserve as much of the mushroom's naturally beneficial compounds as possible while producing a product that is consistent from bottle to bottle.

There are no shortcuts.

Only a process that has been refined, tested, and repeated.

Step 1: Start With Better Mushrooms

A quality extract begins long before extraction.

Most importantly we start with the mushroom itself. Most companies use the mycelium or the roots of the mushrooms, but that is cheap and ineffective. It would be like getting tomato sauce made from the plant and no the tomato but yet calling it tomato sauce.
We one the 1% of mushroom supplement companies that grow the mushrooms they extract. We never rely on grain-based fillers or bulk ingredients to increase volume.

Starting with exceptional raw material gives us the best opportunity to produce an exceptional extract.

Why it matters

You can't create a premium extract from low-quality ingredients. Or as a mentor of mine once said, you cannot make chicken salad out of chicken pooh

The quality of the finished bottle is determined by the quality of the mushroom that goes into it.

Step 2: Hot Water Extraction

Different compounds dissolve differently.

Many of the beneficial compounds found in mushrooms including beta-glucans are water soluble.

Our first extraction uses carefully controlled temperatures and purified water to gently extract these valuable compounds.

Every batch is closely monitored because temperature, time, and consistency all influence the final result.

Why it matters

Without a proper hot water extraction, many of the mushroom's most researched compounds remain locked inside the cell walls.

Step 3: Alcohol Extraction

Not every beneficial compound is water soluble.

Certain mushroom compounds—including triterpenoids found in mushrooms like Reishi and Lion's Mane require alcohol to be extracted effectively.

Rather than choosing one extraction method, we perform a second extraction using food-grade alcohol to capture compounds that water alone cannot.

We NEVER use the same mushroom from the alcohol extract as the hot water or vice versa

Why it matters

Using both water and alcohol allows us to produce a broader-spectrum extract than either method alone.

Step 4: Carefully Combine the Extracts

Extraction isn't simply mixing two liquids together.

Each extract is carefully processed and blended using ratios developed during more than 18 months of testing and refinement.

Our objective isn't simply to maximize yield.

It's to maximize potency while maintaining consistency from one batch to the next.

Every production batch follows the same documented process.

Why it matters

Consistency is what separates manufacturing from craftsmanship.

Customers deserve the same product every time they purchase.

Step 5: Small-Batch Bottling

Once a batch meets our quality standards, it is bottled in our Texas facility under documented manufacturing procedures.

Every bottle receives a lot number so it can be traced back to the exact production batch.

Complete traceability allows us to maintain accountability from cultivation through bottling.

Why it matters

Quality should never be anonymous.

Every bottle should have a documented history.

Why We Do Things Differently

Many mushroom supplements are produced as efficiently as possible.

We built our process around a different philosophy.

Instead of asking:

"How quickly can we make this?"

We ask:

"How can we preserve as much of the mushroom's natural potential as possible?"

That philosophy influences every decision we make—from our extraction methods and purification process to our laboratory testing and small-batch production.

The Lone Star Standard

Our process isn't defined by a single step.

It's the result of dozens of quality decisions made throughout production.

  • Premium fruiting bodies
  • Purified extraction water
  • Dual extraction process
  • Carefully controlled manufacturing
  • Small-batch production
  • Independent laboratory verification
  • Full lot traceability

Because in the end, the goal isn't simply to make another mushroom extract.

It's to produce one we're proud to put our name on.
