At Lone Star Mushrooms, quality isn't something we inspect at the end of production—it's built into every step of our process.

From the mushrooms we cultivate to the final bottle that reaches your doorstep, every batch is produced using documented procedures, verified testing, and strict manufacturing standards. Our goal is simple: produce extracts that are consistent, potent, and worthy of the trust our customers place in us.

We Spent 18 Months Perfecting Our Extraction Process

Creating an effective mushroom extract isn't as simple as soaking mushrooms in water or alcohol.

Over the course of 18 months, we worked alongside an independent analytical laboratory to refine our extraction process. We evaluated extraction methods, temperatures, solvent ratios, and processing conditions to maximize the compounds that matter most—including beta-glucans and mushroom-specific compounds such as triterpenoids where applicable.

Our process wasn't developed to be the fastest.

It was developed to consistently produce the most potent extract possible while maintaining batch-to-batch consistency.

We Measure Potency—Not Marketing Claims

Many companies advertise impressive extraction ratios (10:1) or large milligram numbers (72,000 mg) without measuring what actually ends up in the finished product.

We believe the finished bottle is what matters.

That's why we submit our extracts for independent laboratory analysis to measure the active compounds present.

Rather than relying on marketing claims, we compare our results directly against leading mushroom extract brands.

Our Lion's Mane extract has tested between 17 and 99 times higher in beta-glucan concentration than products from well-known competitors such as Host Defense and Life Cykel.*

Water Quality Matters

Water is the foundation of every hot water extraction.

Our extraction water comes from our private well in Texas, but before it ever reaches a batch it undergoes extensive treatment.

Our water is:

Tested on a regular schedule
Filtered through five stages of filtration
Reverse osmosis purified
UV sterilized before use

The result is exceptionally clean process water that helps ensure consistency from batch to batch.

Rather than producing massive industrial batches, we intentionally manufacture in smaller batches so every lot receives the attention it deserves.
